While some of these stories on Beyond the Blog may not be the well known stories of those like Jasmine or Lisa Saad they are still memorable to me in their own rights.
Lori Cox was your average basic photo stealer outing for me - mostly. She stole a lot of photos and blasted the stolen ads EVERYWHERE online, even going as far as trying to place them for sale in the same art gallery as someone she stolen from! I posted, she claimed she was hacked, she took some photos down but even as recently as this October she was still emailing me demanding the post be taken down. Since she’s fresh in my mind I thought I’d revisit her post here and dig into more of what was going on behind the scenes.
It all started with a message to the Facebook Page - which is how most of my tips come in. Someone noticed that a woman was posting to a lot of local (Florida) “yard sale” type groups with stolen images. This is often how many people are caught - being thirsty!
I got home and quickly realized she not only had a ton of stolen wedding images but also landscape images so I began constructing her post. It was quickly evident there was a LOT of stolen content here - not only photos but also plagiarism.
